I can't remember exactly when I heard Colour me Wednesday for the first time- although It was most likely summer 2013 as I began discovering the never ending folk punk scene through bands such as Onsind, Spoonboy & Crywank. Despite such early exposure to there name, and lusting after a patch I saw a member of Martha sporting at a gig in Glasgow- the world of CMW didn't quite crack open for me til around 2017... After blagging my way onto a run of shows with their sister band The Tuts- Colour me Wednesdays output started to float around more in my periphery. When they released "Don't tell anyone" in 2017 something clicked and the writings of Jen and Harriet started to really speak to me.

Since then they've become one of my go-to bands, their second album "Counting Pennies in the afterlife" features some of the most wildly intelligent, engaging and captivating writing I have ever heard.

Shortly after my hundredth listen of that album I started planning to do one of my cover collections taking my favourite songs from the CMW library- finding whatever demons of my own I'd managed to attach to them and exercising them in my usual way:

Fuzzy lo-fi expressionist nonsense with out of time drums and uncertain guitar parts...

So yeah. Say hello to "Lttm sings Colour me Wednesday"
